Why choose a heat pump
A heat pump moves heat from the outside air into your building rather than burning fuel, so it delivers several units of heat for every unit of electricity it uses.
Heat pumps work best at lower flow temperatures, which is why a proper heat loss survey and the right radiators matter. Sized and installed correctly, a heat pump keeps the whole building comfortable, and the same technology heats offices, schools and residential blocks.
In England and Wales, the government's Boiler Upgrade Scheme gives £7,500 towards an air source heat pump that replaces oil, gas, LPG or electric heating, with an extra £1,500 until March 2027 for homes heated by oil or LPG that have no mains gas connection. We are MCS certified for heat pumps, so we apply for the grant for you and it is taken off your bill.

Common questions
Is my home suitable for a heat pump?
Most homes can use a heat pump. At the survey we check the insulation, the radiators and the space for the outdoor unit and cylinder, and tell you if anything needs to change first.
How does the Boiler Upgrade Scheme work?
The scheme gives £7,500 towards an air source heat pump in England and Wales, plus an extra £1,500 until March 2027 if your home is heated by oil or LPG and has no mains gas. As an MCS certified installer we apply on your behalf, and the grant is taken off what you pay. You need to own the property and be replacing oil, gas, LPG or electric heating. Most new builds and social housing are not eligible.
Where do the grant figures come from?
From the government's Boiler Upgrade Scheme guidance on GOV.UK. The amounts can change, so we confirm the current figure with your quotation.
Who carries out the refrigerant work?
Many air source heat pumps are sealed units. Where a system needs refrigerant pipework, that work is carried out by an F Gas certified engineer we work with, as the law requires.
Do heat pumps work in cold weather?
Yes. Air source heat pumps are designed to keep working through a UK winter, which is why sizing the system from a heat loss survey matters.
