Why install a dedicated charger
Charging at home or at work is usually cheaper and more convenient than relying on public chargers.
A dedicated charger is safer and faster than a normal socket, and a smart charger can be set to charge when electricity is cheapest.
Paired with battery storage, or solar panels you already have, a charger can run your car on cheaper or self generated electricity.

Which chargers do you install?
We are approved installers for Wallbox and myenergi, and we recommend the right charger for your car, your electrics and whether you have solar panels.
Is there a grant for a home charger?
If you own a flat or rent your home and have your own private off street parking, the government's EV chargepoint grant gives 75% off the cost of buying and installing a charger, up to £500. As an OZEV authorised installer, we can check whether you qualify and help with the grant. The figures come from GOV.UK and can change, so we confirm them with your quotation.
Do I need an electrical upgrade for a charger?
Sometimes. We check your supply and consumer unit first, and tell you if anything needs upgrading.
Can the charger use my solar power?
Yes, some chargers can use electricity from your solar panels first. We can recommend one if you already have panels.
Do you install charge points for businesses?
Yes. We install charge points for workplaces as well as homes.
