Why the plant room matters
The plant room is the heart of a building's water services. When a booster set, water heater or valve fails there, residents, pupils and staff feel it straight away through low pressure, no hot water or no water at all.
A well laid out plant room is easier and cheaper to look after. Isolation valves in the right places, clear pipework runs and room to reach each piece of equipment mean servicing and repairs can be carried out without shutting the whole building down.
Because we install both the mechanical plant and the electrical supplies it needs, the plant room is planned, installed and tested as one job, with one contractor responsible for all of it.

Common questions
What goes into a plant room installation?
Usually the booster pump set, water heaters, tanks, pumps, valves, pipework and insulation, plus the electrical supplies to the plant. The exact mix depends on the building.
Do you install and replace boilers and heating plant?
Yes. As a Gas Safe registered business we install and replace commercial boilers and the heating plant around them, including pumps, pressurisation units and expansion vessels. We work on heating and hot water plant rather than commercial catering equipment.
Can you upgrade an existing plant room?
Yes. We replace and upgrade equipment in existing plant rooms, such as the new cold water booster pump we installed at Free Trade Wharf.
Do you install the electrical supplies to the plant as well?
Yes. As a mechanical and electrical contractor we install the power to pumps and plant, tested and certified with an Electrical Installation Certificate or a Minor Works certificate.
