How Eden Mechanical & Electrical Ltd collects, uses and protects your personal information.
Who we are
Eden Mechanical & Electrical Ltd is the controller of the personal information described in this policy. We are registered in England and Wales (company number 15055155) and our registered office is 10 Prospect Place, Welwyn, Hertfordshire, England, AL6 9EW. What we collect
When you use the enquiry form on our website we collect your name, email address and the details of your enquiry, and, if you choose to give them, your company name and telephone number.
If you email or phone us directly, we keep the information you give us so that we can deal with your enquiry.
How we use it
We use your information to reply to your enquiry, to prepare quotations, and to carry out and manage any work you ask us to do. We do not sell your information, and we do not use it for unrelated marketing.
Our lawful basis
We process enquiry information because it is in our legitimate interests to respond to people who contact us. Where you ask us for a quotation or to carry out work, we also process it because it is necessary to take steps towards, or to perform, a contract with you.
Who we share it with
We only share your information with service providers who help us run our business, and only as far as they need it to provide that service. These are our website hosting and email providers, and Xero, the accounting software we use to raise and manage quotations and invoices. We may also share information where the law requires us to.
We do not sell your information or pass it to anyone else for their own marketing.
How long we keep it
We keep your information only for as long as we need it for the purposes above, or as long as the law requires. In practice that means:
Enquiries that do not lead to work: up to two years, in case you come back to us, then deleted.
Customer and job records, including quotations, invoices and correspondence: at least six years after the end of the financial year the work falls in, because HM Revenue and Customs requires us to keep our accounting records for that long.
Certificates and test reports, such as Electrical Installation Certificates, EICRs, emergency lighting certificates and gas safety records: for the life of the installation, so that we and the building owner can rely on them and we can issue copies if they are lost.
We review what we hold and delete information we no longer need.
Cookies
Our website uses cookies that are needed for it to work. We will update this policy, and ask for your consent where the law requires it, before adding any analytics or advertising cookies.
Your rights
You have the right to ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to object to or restrict how we use it, and to ask for it to be transferred to someone else. To make a request, email info@eden-me.co.uk.
Complaints
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, please contact us first so we can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.

We may update this policy from time to time. This version was last updated in September 2026.
